The university was a hive of activity. Students buzzed from building to building, their chatter filling the air as they hurried to their morning classes. In one lecture hall, the group had managed to snag a row of seats together. The topic wasn't the professor's lecture notes, but the upcoming birthday of one of their own: Navya.
"Okay, guys, let's get serious," Vanshika said, leaning forward. "Navya's birthday is tomorrow, and we need a plan. What are we thinking?"
Abhiman, ever the practical one, piped up, "I was thinking we could book a nice restaurant. A fancy dinner, maybe a cake..."
"Boring!" Raghav interrupted with a playful groan. "We do that every year. Navya's turning the big 19! We need something more epic." He grinned, a mischievous glint in his eye. "I say we go to one of our clubs. We can get the music pumping, maybe even convince the DJ to play some of our ridiculous playlist."
A chorus of agreement erupted, but Ishana held up a hand. "I like it, but a small group? Nah. We need to invite everyone! More members, more fun. We'll turn it into a massive party, a night to remember!"
Vihaan, who had been quietly listening, chimed in, "Ishana's right. The more the merrier. Plus, it'll give us an excuse to finally use that 'emergency party fund' we all contributed to."
Navya, who had been smiling through the whole discussion, finally spoke up. "You guys are the best," she said, her voice full of warmth. "But let's not get carried away. A party is great, but don't forget, I'm the birthday girl. The final say is mine."
Raghav nudged her playfully. "Oh, come on, birthday girl! You know you love our crazy ideas. Just imagine it: all of us, dancing the night away, me trying to teach Vihaan how to do the moonwalk... again."
Vihaan's eyes widened. "Hey! I almost had it last time!"
Ishana burst out laughing. "You looked like a penguin on a slippery surface, Vihaan. But that's exactly the kind of stuff we need. Cringe-worthy memories that we can laugh about for years!"
"What's up, Vanshika? You've been quiet since we started planning," Ishana said, noticing her friend's distant expression.
"It's nothing," Vanshika replied quickly, a little too quickly.
Raghav, always perceptive, leaned in. "Is it about Ajay?"
Vanshika's eyes widened. She stared at him, surprised that he'd read her mind. She gave a small, defeated nod.
"Oh, right. How could I forget about that?" Ishana said, her voice dropping a little.
Vanshika sighed, running a hand through her hair. "It's fine. I'll call everyone, even the guys from the other department. But," she held up a finger, her expression turning serious, "I'm not making any guarantees that I won't break Ajay's face if he says one wrong thing."
A mischievous grin spread across Abhimna's face. "Oh, you absolutely have my permission. In fact, I wanna see you break his face."
Vihaan laughed. "Yeah, and this time you have Raghav as your boyfriend—even if it's a fake one—to back you up!"
Vanshika's cheeks flushed. "Oh, shut up, Vihaan!" she said, but a smile was playing on her lips. "Raghav is just a friend, a very annoying friend who thinks he's hilarious."
"Hey! The people love me!" Raghav retorted with a mock-hurt expression. He then winked at Navya, who was trying to stifle her laughter. "Besides, I'm a professional fake boyfriend. It's an art form."
Ishana clapped her hands, pulling the focus back to the task at hand. "Alright, alright, enough teasing. The fake boyfriend drama can wait. Everyone, let's begin the preparations!"
"So, where are we heading, Raghav?" Abhiman asked, his excitement growing.
Raghav grinned, a confident glint in his eye. "The Eclipse Club."
"Wow, that's amazing! I love that place," Abhiman replied, his face lighting up.
Vanshika clapped her hands, pulling everyone's attention back to the task. "Alright, everyone, let's get this show on the road! But wait... where is this Eclipse Club?"
"It's on the outskirts of the city," Raghav said casually.
Vanshika's smile faltered. "The outskirts? Yeah, no way am I driving all that way."
Raghav's grin widened as he looked at her. "Don't worry, Miss Sharma, I'll drive for you."
A collective "Ooooh!" went up from the rest of the group. Ishana nudged Navya. "Well, look at that! Raghav, the knight in shining armor, offering to chauffeur our dear Vanshika."
"So chivalrous," Abhiman added with a smirk.
Vanshika's cheeks flushed crimson. She shot a glare at her friends. "Shut up, all of you! And concentrate on Navya's birthday party," she said, her voice a little flustered.
Navya, Vihaan, Ishana, and Abhiman burst into laughter at her reaction. Raghav, however, just sat there, a soft smile on his face, completely lost in admiring her. He loved how she got flustered so easily. It was one of his favorite things about her.
After a moment of laughter, Ishana finally managed to get a word in. "Alright, so what time are we going?"
"Tonight," Abhiman said, and everyone nodded in agreement.
Vanshika clapped her hands together, a determined look on her face. "So, everything's confirmed! Let's do this, guys!" She then paused, her gaze sweeping over the group. "And as for the driving... we girls are taking one car and you boys are taking the other. The discussion ends here. Don't you dare say a word!"
Raghav raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk on his face. "But didn't you just say a minute ago that you wouldn't drive?"
Vanshika grinned mischievously. "Oh, come on, Raghav! It's impossible for me not to drive. I love it! I was just teasing you guys."
Raghav just chuckled, shaking his head. "Alright, alright, as you wish, Miss Sharma."
"Great!" Vanshika said brightly. "Okay, so let's all meet at Navya's house in a few hours, and then we'll head out together."
A chorus of agreement went around the group.
"Perfect," Navya said, beaming. "I'll get my mom to order some pizzas for us before we leave, so no one gets hungry on the way."
"You're a lifesaver, Navya," Vihaan said, rubbing his stomach dramatically. "I was just about to ask if we could make a pitstop for food."
"Alright then, the plan is set," Ishana declared. "Let's all head home and get ready for a night of celebrating!"
"And remember, Vanshika," Raghav said with a smirk, "drive safely. Don't want to show up to the party with a speeding ticket."
Vanshika just rolled her eyes, but a smile touched her lips. "Don't worry about me, Mr. Driver-in-Training. You just focus on not getting lost on the way there."
With a final round of laughs and excited chatter, the friends all got up, ready to begin the preparations for Navya's big night out.
____________________________________________________________________________________
A few hours later, Vanshika stood outside the sprawling Kashyap mansion, leaning against her car and scrolling through her phone. Her figure was sharply defined in a sleek black mini-dress. The fabric, which looked like a fine knit or ribbed material, clung to her, highlighting her narrow waist. It featured a deep V-neckline and long sleeves, a simple yet undeniably elegant cut. She finished the look with a pair of long black heels that added height and a powerful final touch. The warm evening air was filled with the chatter of their friends, who were all catching up with each other's siblings.

The front door opened, and Navya emerged, her face beaming with excitement. She was breathtaking in a shimmering gown that sparkled like moonlight on the water behind her. The dress was a pale, glittering silver-gold, featuring a flattering off-the-shoulder neckline that showcased her collarbones. The fabric hugged her waist and fell to the floor, where a high, draped slit offered a glimpse of her leg.

Her sister, Divya, was right behind her.
"Ready, birthday girl?" Ishana asked, a wide grin on her face. She wore a chic, khaki-toned shirt dress that perfectly tailored her frame. The dress featured a classic collar and half-sleeves, with the fabric cinched at the waist in a flattering, wrapped or ruched detail, creating a mini-skirt silhouette. She accessorized simply with a delicate gold necklace and a few bangles on her wrist, while carrying a structured brown bag.

"Damn, I'm so excited!" Navya replied, practically bouncing on her feet.
Vanshika looked up from her phone and addressed the group. "Alright, listen up everyone. Me, Ishu, Navya, along with Sakshi, Preeti, and Divya are all coming in one car." She then pointed at the boys, a slight smirk on her face. "And you boys—Raghav, Abhiman, Vihaan, Shaurya, Aditya, Darsh, Sidharth, Akash, and Abhimanyu—will all come in Raghav's car. Got it?"
A chorus of "Got it!" and "Sounds good!" went around.
Raghav, who had been leaning against his car door, looked effortlessly handsome. He wore a crisp, satin white shirt with a smart band collar, the top two buttons undone to reveal a hint of a bold gold chain resting against his chest. This was paired perfectly with sharp black trousers. His outfit was completed with refined accessories: a wide black belt, a distinguished wristwatch, and simple silver bracelets, giving him a polished and commanding presence. Scrolling through his phone, looked up, his expression serious. "We'll be right behind you. Even though you have Vanshika, for your safety, we'll follow you guys. Vanshika, I've already shared the location with you. Alright, let's go, everyone!"

Everyone got a burst of new energy, quickly settling into their respective cars. Vanshika started her engine and drove off, with Raghav's car following close behind. The night was just getting started.
The convoy of cars made its way out of the city, the streetlights slowly giving way to the dim glow of the highway. Inside Vanshika's car, the atmosphere was electric. Ishana had already taken over the music, and the car was filled with the sound of a throwback pop playlist.
"This is the life!" Ishana shouted over the music, turning to Navya. "Are you excited, birthday girl?"
Navya grinned from the back seat. "I can't believe we're actually doing this. Thanks, you guys, this is amazing!"
Divya laughed. "Just wait until we get there. I've heard the Eclipse Club is insane."
In the back, Sakshi and Preeti were busy taking selfies, making funny faces and trying to get the best angles. "We need to document everything tonight," Sakshi declared, holding up her phone.
Meanwhile, in the car behind them, the boys were having a different kind of fun. Raghav was focused on the road, but he kept glancing in the rearview mirror, making sure Vanshika's car was safely in sight.
"Dude, stop being such a helicopter parent," Abhiman teased, noticing Raghav's constant checks. "Vanshika is a great driver. She's got this."
Abhiman’s look was defined by a powerful simplicity: an all-black ensemble. He wore a relaxed-fit black collared shirt, its sleeves cuffed neatly just above the wrist, paired with matching black trousers. The monochromatic outfit was punctuated only by the subtle gleam of a wide silver belt buckle and a bold, elegant silver wristwatch that stood out against the dark fabric.

"I know she is," Raghav said, a hint of a smile on his face. "But still, can't be too careful."
Vihaan, sitting in the passenger seat, leaned over. "Or is it that you just want to make sure she doesn't get too far ahead of you?"
Vihaan's style was instantly captivating. He wore a luxurious deep burgundy or wine-colored shirt made of a silky, shimmering fabric that caught the light with every move. The top was left open at the collar for a relaxed, bold look. He paired the vibrant shirt with sharp black trousers, cinched with a dark belt, and finished the ensemble with a dark-strapped wristwatch and subtle gold bracelets.

"Whatever, man," Raghav said, but he couldn't hide the slight blush creeping up his neck.
Back in Vanshika's car, the music suddenly cut out, replaced by a text message notification on her phone. It was from Raghav. The screen read, "Don't get too carried away with the music, Miss Sharma. We're still on a highway."
Vanshika just rolled her eyes, a smile on her face. "See? I told you guys he'd be like this," she said to her friends.
"He's just worried about his future... fake girlfriend," Ishana quipped, and the car erupted in laughter once more. The rest of the journey was filled with more singing, laughter, and a few more teasing texts from Raghav, each one met with a playful eye roll from Vanshika. The excitement for the night ahead was palpable.
After an hour and a half, the cars finally pulled into the parking lot of the Eclipse Club. The building was an imposing, modern structure with a sleek, black facade that seemed to absorb the twilight. As they stepped out of the cars, the distant thumping of the bass could already be felt in the air.
"This is it, people!" Ishana yelled over the music, stretching her arms above her head. "The moment we've all been waiting for!"
Navya took a deep breath, a wide smile on her face. "It's even better than I imagined."
"Of course it is," Raghav said, walking up to Vanshika. "You're at my place, after all. I have a reputation to uphold."
Vanshika just rolled her eyes playfully. "Your place? I thought it was your dad's place."
Raghav leaned in closer, his voice a low whisper. "Technically, but let's not get into the details in front of everyone. It's a vibe thing."
He then led the group to the entrance, where a bouncer immediately recognized him. The man nodded respectfully and opened the ropes for them without a word. They stepped inside, and the full force of the club's energy hit them. The room was a kaleidoscope of flashing lights, the dance floor packed with people moving to the pulsating rhythm of the music.
"Let's go get a table!" Abhiman shouted over the noise, pointing to a raised VIP section near the DJ booth.
As they made their way through the crowd, Vihaan nudged Vanshika. "We're practically royalty tonight."
"Don't let it get to your head," Vanshika said, laughing.
They all settled into the plush couches of the VIP section, the best seats in the house. Navya's eyes were wide with wonder as she looked out at the sea of people below. "I can't believe we're here. This is the best birthday ever."
Raghav handed her a menu. "It's just getting started, birthday girl. Now, what's everyone having to drink?"
"I'll have a Long Island Iced Tea," Abhiman said, closing his menu.
"Make that two," Vihaan added with a wink.
"And a cosmopolitan for me," Ishana said, looking at Navya. "What about you, birthday girl?"
Navya smiled. "I'll have a mojito, please. I want to remember this night."
"Smart choice," Vanshika said. "I'll have a pineapple juice."
Raghav nodded, taking a mental note of all the orders. He then turned to the younger members of the group. "And for you guys?"
The kids, who had been engrossed in their own conversation, looked up.
"Just a coke for me," Divya said.
"Sprite, please," her brother, Shaurya, chimed in.
Raghav smiled, a sense of pride swelling in his chest. It was moments like these, surrounded by all his friends and family, that made him truly happy.
He then gave the waiter their entire order and turned back to the group. "So, who's ready to dance?"
A chorus of cheers and shouts of "Me!" erupted from the group. The music seemed to pulse through the floor, calling them to the dance floor.
"Alright, let's go!" Ishana yelled, grabbing Navya's hand and pulling her to her feet.
Abhiman and Vihaan were already halfway there, weaving through the tables with a competitive glint in their eyes. The younger kids followed, their faces a mix of awe and excitement as they navigated the throng of people.
Raghav watched them all go, a smile on his face. He turned to Vanshika, who was still sipping her pineapple juice. "Not going to dance, Miss Sharma?"
"In a bit," she said, a small smile playing on her lips. "I want to finish my drink first. Besides, someone has to make sure you don't get into any trouble."
"Me? Trouble?" Raghav feigned a look of shock. "Never. I'm a perfect gentleman."
"Sure you are," Vanshika replied, taking another sip of her drink. "I've seen your dance moves. They're definitely a form of trouble."
Raghav chuckled, pulling her to her feet. "Come on. Just one song. For the birthday girl."
Vanshika sighed dramatically, but her smile gave her away. "Fine. But if you step on my foot, you're buying me a new pair of shoes."
"Deal," he said with a laugh, leading her to the dance floor, where their friends were already lost in the music. The night had truly begun.
Vanshika and Raghav made their way through the throng of people, a sea of flashing lights and bodies moving in sync to the pulsating beat. They found their friends in the middle of it all, a lively circle of laughter and uncoordinated dance moves. Ishana and Navya were in the center, their hands in the air as they sang along to the lyrics, while Abhiman and Vihaan attempted to outdo each other with their ridiculous, signature dance-offs.
Meri raahein tere tak hai
Tujhpe hi toh mera haq hai
Ishq mera tu beshak hai
Tujhpe hi toh mera haq hai
"Come on, Vanshika, let's show them how it's done," Raghav said with a grin. He pulled her closer, his hand finding the small of her back. The sudden proximity made her heart flutter, and a blush crept up her cheeks. She could feel the warmth of his hand through her dress, a comforting heat that sent a jolt of electricity through her.
Saath chhodunga na, tere piche aaunga
Chheen lunga ya, Khuda se maang launga
Tere naal taqdeeran likhwaunga main
Main tera ban jaunga
Main tera ban jaunga
They began to sway to the rhythm, their movements mirroring each other's as if they'd been dancing together for years. He spun her around, and she laughed, her head thrown back, her hair a wild cascade around her shoulders. For a moment, it felt like they were the only two people in the club. The lights, the music, the crowd—everything faded into the background. It was just them, lost in the music and the moment.
Sonh teri main kasam yahi khaunga
Kite waadeya nu umra nibhaunga
Tujhe har vaari apna banaunga
Main tera ban jaunga
Main tera ban jaunga
Na na na.. na na na...
Na na na.. o yeh... (x2)
Raghav leaned in, his lips close to her ear. "You know," he murmured, his voice a low rumble that sent shivers down her spine, "you're a much better dancer than you let on, Miss Sharma."
Lakhaan ton juda main hui tere khaatir
Tu hi manzil dil tera musaafir
Lakhaan ton juda main hoya teri khaatir
Tu hi manzil main tera musaafir
Rab nu bhula baitha tere karke
Vanshika's heart pounded against her ribs. She looked up at him, her eyes meeting his. The playful teasing in his eyes was replaced by something softer, something deeper. She couldn't help but smile. "And you're not so bad yourself, Mr. Perfect Gentleman."
Main ho gaya kaafir
Tere liye main jahaan se takraunga
Sab kuch khoke tujhko hi paunga
Dil ban ke main dil dhadkaunga
He just grinned, pulling her in for another spin. The night was going to be a blur of laughter, dancing, and stolen glances. Each time their eyes met, a silent understanding passed between them. A connection that was more than just a fake relationship, and more than just a friendship. It was the beginning of something real.
Main tera ban jaaunga
Main tera ban jaaunga
Sonh teri main kasam yahi khaunga
Kite waadeya nu umra nibhaunga
Tujhe har vaari apna banaunga
Lost in the rhythm, Vanshika and Raghav moved as one, a silent conversation unfolding between them with every turn and spin. His hand was a firm, reassuring presence on her waist, guiding her effortlessly through the crowd. The world outside their small circle faded into a blur of color and sound. For a few perfect moments, there was only the beat of the music and the silent understanding that passed between them with every shared smile.
Main tera ban jaunga
Main tera ban jaunga
Meri raahein tere tak hai
Tujhpe hi toh mera haq hai
Ishq mera tu beshak hai
Tujhpe hi toh mera haq hai
But the moment was fleeting. As the song drew to a close, Raghav's hand tightened on her back. With a gentle but firm pull, he guided her away from the dance floor. Vanshika's brow furrowed in a silent question, her eyes searching his for an explanation. His hand, still a warm anchor on her back, pulled her in closer.
"The partners were about to change," he murmured, his voice a low rumble that sent a shiver down her spine. "And I don't want to do that."
The simple words hung in the air, a confession that was both playful and sincere. He then gently steered her towards the VIP section, where the kids were engrossed in their own world, laughing and taking photos. He didn't let go of her until they were safely back at their table, the unspoken promise of their dance still lingering in the air between them.
Back at the VIP table, the group was in high spirits. Navya was laughing as her friends showered her with advance birthday wishes. The kids were still taking photos and enjoying their soft drinks. The club was a vibrant mix of energy and excitement.
Suddenly, Vanshika's laughter died on her lips. Her eyes, which had been scanning the crowd, landed on a familiar face. Ajay. He was standing with his friends, but his gaze was fixed on her. A shiver of discomfort ran down her spine. Her jaw tightened, and she felt her cheeks flush with a mix of anger and unease. Without a word, she excused herself and headed toward the bar, needing a moment to compose herself.
"A Whiskey." she said the bartender, her voice a little sharper than she intended.
"Are you okay?" Raghav's voice came from behind her. He had followed her, his protective instincts kicking in the moment he saw her face fall.
"I'm fine," she said, not meeting his eyes. "Just... wanted another drink."
"Vanshika," he said softly, turning her gently to face him. "What's wrong? Did you see him?"
She nodded, a wave of frustration washing over her. "He's here. I just... I don't want to deal with him tonight. It's Navya's birthday, and I don't want anything to ruin it."
Raghav's jaw tightened. He glanced over to where Ajay was standing, a stony expression on his face. "Don't worry about it," he said, his voice firm. "You're with us. He won't dare do anything."
Vanshika looked at him, a sense of relief washing over her. "Thank you," she whispered, a small, genuine smile finally reaching her lips. "I needed that."
Raghav simply smiled back, his hand finding hers and giving it a reassuring squeeze.
They remained at the counter, the low hum of conversation and the thumping bass of the music surrounding them. Vanshika's eyes, however, were fixed on a figure in the distance. Ajay was making his way toward them, a determined look on his face. Her hands instinctively curled into fists, her jaw tightening.
Raghav, noticing her tense posture, let out a soft chuckle. "Shant meri sherni," he murmured, his voice a low, teasing whisper.
The word "sherni" sent a jolt through Vanshika. Her heart skipped a beat, a mix of surprise and a strange warmth spreading through her chest. Just as she was about to respond, Ajay arrived, his eyes narrowed as he looked from Vanshika to Raghav.
"Vanshika," he said, his tone demanding, "we need to talk."
Raghav stepped forward slightly, positioning himself between Ajay and Vanshika. "I think she's a little busy right now, Ajay," he said, his voice calm but with an undeniable edge.
"I'm not talking to you, Raghav. This is between me and Vanshika."
Raghav smirked. "Actually, anything to do with Vanshika is now my business. You see, we're a package deal." He put his arm around Vanshika, pulling her close. "So, whatever you have to say to her, you can say to me first."
Ajay's face flushed with anger. "Get your hands off her."
Raghav's smile didn't waver. "Or what? You'll do what you always do, Ajay? Throw a tantrum and then hide behind your father's money? I've seen your act before, and trust me, it's getting old."
Ajay's eyes blazed with fury. His jaw was clenched so tightly that a vein throbbed in his temple. He opened his mouth to retort, but no words came out. He just shot a final, venomous glare at Raghav and Vanshika before turning on his heel and storming away.
Vanshika watched him go, a confused frown creasing her forehead. A strange, unsettled feeling settled in her stomach. Ajay's usual bluster had been completely shut down. She shook her head, trying to dismiss the strange feeling. It was Navya's night, and she wasn't going to let anything spoil it.
"Come on," she said to Raghav, her smile returning. "Let's go dance."
Raghav smiled back, relieved. "That's my girl," he said, and led her back toward the dance floor.
As they rejoined their friends, Raghav's younger sister, Sakshi, came over to them. "Bhai, come on! It's almost time for Navya di's birthday!"
Raghav nodded, a newfound warmth spreading through him. He and Vanshika made their way over to where Navya stood, a massive grin on her face. The DJ had just cut the music, and all eyes were on the birthday girl. The whole club was ready to celebrate.
A hush fell over the club as the DJ's voice boomed through the speakers. "Alright, Eclipse Club! Let's hear it for the birthday girl, Navya! Everyone, please join me in wishing her the happiest of birthdays!"
The crowd erupted in cheers and applause, and a massive LED screen behind the DJ booth flashed "HAPPY BIRTHDAY NAVYA!" in glittering letters. Navya, surrounded by her friends, blushed and waved. Vihaan hoisted her onto his shoulders, and the entire group began to dance to a high-energy birthday song.
Vanshika, however, remained at the bar counter, nursing her drink. She had a strange feeling she couldn't shake. A part of her wanted to be with her friends, celebrating, but the unease from seeing Ajay was a persistent shadow. Just as she finished her drink, a new one was placed in front of her.
"One more for the road?" the bartender asked.
Vanshika smiled faintly, "Thanks, but I think I'll call it a night." She then looked at the glass in front of her and downed it in one go.
Suddenly, Ishana appeared beside her, a look of playful frustration on her face. "Hey! Vanshika, come on! What are you doing over here? Come dance with us!"
Vanshika shook her head. "No, you guys go on. I'm okay."
She turned back to the bar, and as the last drop of the drink hit her stomach, a wave of dizziness washed over her. The room began to spin. She stumbled to her feet and, with a hand pressed to her temple, began to make her way towards the restrooms.
On the dance floor, Raghav was spinning with his sister, Sakshi, a wide smile on his face. But his eyes were scanning the room, and he noticed the bar counter was empty. He frowned. He quickly excused himself from Sakshi and made his way through the crowd, finding Abhiman and Vihaan dancing manically.
"Abhiman," he said, his voice serious, "have you seen Vanshika?"
Abhiman, still lost in the music, shook his head. "No, man, I haven't. She was at the bar, wasn't she?"
The seriousness in Raghav's voice caught Abhiman's attention. He stopped dancing, his eyes meeting Raghav's. "What's wrong? Why do you look so worried?"
"She's not at the bar anymore," Raghav said, a hint of panic in his voice. "Something doesn't feel right."
He turned to Vihaan. "Vihaan, stay with the group. Don't tell anyone about this, especially not Navya. We don't want to ruin her birthday."
Vihaan nodded, a worried expression on his face. "Got it. I'll keep them distracted."
Raghav and Abhiman split up, their eyes scanning the club. They checked the couches, the lounge areas, and the smoking zone, but Vanshika was nowhere to be seen.
"Nothing," Abhiman said into his phone as he walked back towards Raghav. "She's not in the main club area."
Raghav's heart was pounding. "Alright, let's split up. You check the exit areas and the front of the club. I'll check the restrooms and the back corridors. If you see her, call me immediately."
"Be careful, man," Abhiman said, his voice laced with concern.
"You too," Raghav replied, and they both went their separate ways, the music and the party now a distant, unimportant backdrop to their frantic search.
Raghav's heart hammered against his ribs as he ran through the club's winding corridors. The loud music was a distant thrum, but his own frantic thoughts were deafening. He checked every corner, every empty space, his eyes darting around wildly. He prayed, a silent, desperate plea for her safety.
After what felt like an eternity, he saw her. Near an almost deserted restroom, Vanshika was leaning against the wall, one hand clutched to her chest. Her breaths were coming in ragged, shallow gasps. Relief, so intense it was almost painful, washed over him. He raced to her side, pulling her into a tight, desperate hug.
"Vanshika? Vanshika, are you okay?" he asked, pulling back slightly to look at her. Her face was pale, and her eyes, usually so fierce, were unfocused.
A soft, hazy smile spread across her lips. She reached up, her hands finding his neck, and her touch was as light as a feather.
"Raghav," she whispered, her voice laced with a dreamy warmth that sent a shiver down his spine.
That's when it hit him. The sweet, almost sickly smell of alcohol on her breath, and the way her pupils were dilated. His blood ran cold. He knew, with a terrifying certainty, that someone had spiked her drink. His jaw tightened, a silent, seething rage boiling beneath the surface. He swore to himself that whoever had done this was a dead man.
He blinked, and when he opened his eyes, she was gone. The shock was immediate. He spun around, his heart pounding with renewed panic. His eyes scanned the new, terrifyingly empty space. Then he saw her.
Vanshika was standing by the club's private, outdoor pool. No one else was around. The water shimmered under the dim lights, a silent, shimmering threat.
Vanshika stumbled at the edge of the pool, her balance failing. Raghav lunged forward, his heart in his throat, and wrapped his arms around her waist just as she was about to topple into the water.
"Let's go, Vanshika," he said, his voice strained with urgency.
She pushed against him weakly. "No, I don't want to go."
Raghav sighed, gently cupping her face in his hands, forcing her to look at him. "Look, we have to. Everyone's waiting for us."
"No!" she insisted, her voice rising slightly. She pulled away from his grasp, walking a few steps ahead.
Raghav followed her, a wave of frustration mixed with fear washing over him. He knew he couldn't reason with her like this. "Let's go, Vinnie," he said softly. "You're not in your senses right now. Please, let's go."
"No! I want to dance," she declared, her anger suddenly bubbling to the surface.
"We can't dance right now," he tried to reason.
"I will dance, and that's final!" she snapped, her hands on her hips in a wobbly, defiant stance.
Raghav knew he was losing this battle. "Alright, alright, we'll dance," he conceded, holding up his hands in surrender. "But on one condition."
"What?" she asked, her anger instantly forgotten.
"After the dance, you'll listen to me, and you'll do whatever I say."
Vanshika dramatically placed a finger on her chin, her eyes fluttering closed as if in deep thought. After a moment, she opened them and nodded. "Okay."
A genuine chuckle escaped Raghav's lips. She was so endearing, even in this state. He glanced around, making sure they were truly alone. His eyes caught a glimpse of his bodyguards in the shadows. He gave them a subtle, silent hand gesture, and they melted away, leaving him alone with her.
They were about to dance when,Raghav's phone buzzed with a call from Abhiman. He quickly answered, a sense of urgency in his voice.
"Did you find her?" Abhiman's concerned voice came through the line.
"Yes, I found her," Raghav replied, his gaze fixed on Vanshika. "I have a job for you. Someone spiked her drink. I need you to find out who did it, and now."
"On it," Abhiman said, and the line went dead.
Raghav looked back at the spot where Vanshika had been, but she was gone. A jolt of panic surged through him. He spun around, his eyes desperately scanning the area.
Meanwhile, a disoriented Vanshika had stumbled back into the main club area, her friends still lost in their celebration. Unnoticed, she made a beeline for the DJ booth, her movements clumsy and unsteady.
"Hey!" she slurred, leaning against the booth. "Can you play... Sawan Mein Lag Gayi Aag?"
The DJ, amused by her confident request, grinned and nodded. The music shifted, the bass-heavy EDM giving way to the familiar, upbeat rhythm of the popular song. A cheer went up from the crowd, and Vanshika, her eyes sparkling with a mischievous glint, made her way to the dance floor.
Haaye patakha mein
Bam ka dhamaaka main
Nezrein karaari meri
Dil pe daalu daaka main
Oye hoye hoye
Sau aage, do sau peeche
Chhup chhup ke photo khiche
Dekhu jo main palat ke
Inpe bijli gir jaaye re
Social media pe charche bade hai
Bacche kya buddhe mere
peechhe pade hai
Akash, who had been dancing with Darsh, saw his sister on the dance floor. Unaware of her condition, he grinned and joined her, mirroring her moves. Vanshika, seeing her brother, turned and started dancing with him, their movements a synchronized burst of energy.
Hoye sawan mein lag gayi aag
Ke dil mera haaye
Sawan mein lag gayi aag
Ke dil mera haaye
Ho sun ae haseena Paagal deewani
Sun ae haseena pagal deewani
Aaj na soya saari
Aaj na soya saari
Aaja na saga saari raat Ke dil mera haaye
Sawan mein lag gai aag
Ke dil mera haaye
Their friends, however, noticed something was off. Vihaan's jaw dropped as he watched her, a look of stunned disbelief on his face. Navya's smile faded, replaced by a look of concern.
Just then, Raghav and Abhiman burst into the hall, their eyes sweeping the room. Their gazes locked on Vanshika, who was now a whirlwind of movement, dancing with a wild, almost reckless abandon.
"Vanshika!" Raghav's voice was a low rumble of shock and worry.
He and Abhiman pushed through the crowd, their eyes never leaving her. They were a mix of anger and concern, their minds racing with the implications of her state. The party, the music, the lights—it all faded into the background, their only focus on the girl dancing like no one was watching, a beautiful but heartbreaking spectacle.
Vanshika, a wild gleam in her eyes, moved towards Navya and Ishana. "Come on, guys!" she slurred, her hands pulling them toward the dance floor. "Let's dance!"
Navya and Ishana exchanged a worried glance. Just then, Vihaan walked up to them. "Just do what she says," he said quietly. "It's better to keep her close and away from everyone else. We'll be right here with you." The girls nodded, and the three of them began to dance with Vanshika, forming a protective circle around her.
Meanwhile, Vihaan made his way to Raghav and Abhiman, who were watching the scene with a mix of anger and concern. "What happened to her?" Vihaan asked, his voice low and urgent.
Raghav's jaw was clenched. "Someone spiked her drink," he said, his voice a low growl. "She's not herself."
"Okay," Abhiman said, his expression hardening. "Get the kids and the others back to the VIP section. We'll handle this."
Vihaan nodded and quickly went to gather the younger siblings, who, thankfully, were oblivious to the unfolding drama. He guided them back to the safety of the VIP area, keeping them distracted with jokes and conversation.
Back on the dance floor, Vanshika was a whirlwind of motion. Raghav approached her, his hand gently finding her arm. "Vanshika, come on. We need to go."
She pulled away, her eyes wild. "No!" she shouted over the music. "I want to dance! Don't you guys want to dance?" She spun back to her friends, urging them on with a laugh that didn't quite reach her eyes.
Raghav's face hardened as he watched her, his mind racing for a way to get her out of the club without causing a scene.
"Vanshika, please," Raghav pleaded, his voice a low, urgent whisper that was lost in the chaos of the dance floor. "We have to go. You're not okay."
She shook her head stubbornly, her movements becoming more erratic. "No, Raghav. I'm having fun! Look!" she twirled around, her arms flailing. "It's Navya's birthday!"
Raghav's heart ached with frustration and fear. He knew reasoning with her was a lost cause. He stepped closer, his voice softening, a plea in his eyes. "Vanshika, please, for me? Just trust me. Let's go outside for some fresh air."
Finally, her wild energy seemed to wane. She looked at him, and for a fleeting moment, a glimmer of recognition appeared in her eyes. "Okay," she said softly.
Raghav didn't waste another second. He gently took her hand, her movements wobbly and unsteady, and guided her off the dance floor. He made his way through the crowd, his eyes scanning for Vihaan and Abhiman.
As they reached the edge of the dance floor, he spotted them. "Vihaan, Abhiman," he said, his voice low and serious. "Get everyone back to the hotel safely. Make sure you get them into the cars and don't let anyone stray."
He then looked at Abhiman. "Abhiman, Check with the club manager and make sure to get the CCTV footage of Vanshika dancing deleted. And also, make sure no one recorded it. This can't get out."
Abhiman's face was grim. "I'm on it."
Ishana and Navya, overhearing the conversation, rushed over, their faces etched with confusion. "What's going on, guys?" Ishana asked. "Where are you taking Vanshika?"
"Someone spiked her drink," Abhiman explained, his voice laced with anger. "That's why she was acting like this."
Navya gasped, her hand flying to her mouth. "What? Oh my god... how could someone do that?"
"I don't know," Abhiman said, his jaw tightening. "But we'll find out. Raghav is going to take care of her." He put a reassuring hand on Ishana's shoulder. "Raghav will handle it. We need to get everyone to the hotel now. He ordered another car for us."
He then ushered them all out, their chatter now replaced with concerned whispers. Ishana and Navya shot one last worried glance at Vanshika before following Abhiman out of the club.
Raghav, meanwhile, had managed to get Vanshika to his car. He gently settled her into the passenger seat, buckling her in before getting behind the wheel. He looked at her, her eyes heavy-lidded, and a wave of pure, protective fury washed over him. He started the car, the engine a low rumble in the silent night, and drove off.
Raghav drove through the quiet streets, his gaze flicking between the road and Vanshika. She was slumped against the window, her head lolling gently with the motion of the car. Her breathing was even, but the unnatural stillness of her body was a stark contrast to her usual vibrant energy. The protective rage he felt earlier hadn't subsided; it had only deepened, a cold, hard knot in his stomach.
He pulled up to hotel he knew well, a place where he could be sure of privacy and discretion. Gently, he lifted Vanshika from the car, carrying her bridal-style through the lobby. A bellboy, accustomed to late-night arrivals, silently opened the door to a suite he had pre-booked.
Inside the spacious room, Raghav carefully laid Vanshika on the bed. He pulled off her heels, then went into the bathroom, soaking a towel in cold water. He returned and gently began to wipe her face and neck, trying to bring down the flush of her skin. As he worked, he noticed a small cut on her hand, likely from her frantic dancing. He cleaned it, a silent promise forming in his mind to find the person responsible for this.
Vanshika's eyes fluttered open to the soft light of the room. She blinked, her head throbbing, and saw Raghav sitting beside her. She sat up abruptly, a wave of dizziness making her sway. Raghav's arm immediately went around her, steadying her.
She looked at him for a long moment, a mix of emotions swirling in her eyes, before turning her face away. She crossed her arms over her chest, a stubborn pout on her lips.
"Vanshika, what is it?" Raghav asked, a frown creasing his brow.
She remained silent, her anger a palpable presence in the room. Raghav sighed, his patience wearing thin. With a swift, gentle move, he lifted her and settled her onto his lap, his hands cupping her face.
"Vanshika, look at me," he said softly, his voice firm yet gentle. "Tell me what's wrong."
Her eyes, still a little hazy, met his. "You promised me," she said, her voice a soft, accusing whisper. "You promised you would dance with me."
A small, knowing smile touched Raghav's lips. "But you're not feeling well," he said, gently rubbing his knuckles against her cheek.
"No," she insisted, her pout returning. "I'm not talking to you. You're very bad."
Raghav sighed dramatically, a small chuckle escaping his lips. "Okay, fine," he conceded, pulling her closer. "Let's dance." He stood up, still holding her, and a slow, imaginary melody filled the room as they swayed together, a private dance in the quiet of the hotel suite.
Raghav and Vanshika swayed slowly in the middle of the room, a silent, tender dance. The soft glow of the lamps cast long shadows around them. Just as the imaginary music reached its crescendo, Vanshika stiffened. Her eyes widened, and she pulled away from him, a hand flying to her mouth.
"I'm going to be sick," she mumbled, stumbling towards the bathroom.
Raghav's heart seized with panic. He was right behind her, his hand on her back, his mind racing. He watched helplessly as she knelt before the toilet, her body wracked with tremors. He immediately went to her side, gathering her hair in one hand and gently rubbing her back with the other.
"It's okay, Vinnie. Just let it out," he whispered, his voice a low, comforting rumble. "I'm right here."
After a few agonizing moments, she stood, her body weak and trembling. Her knees buckled, and she began to fall. Raghav caught her instantly, his arms strong, a steady support.
"I've got you," he murmured, his forehead resting against hers. He kissed her forehead, a gentle, reassuring gesture. "It's all going to be okay."
He carefully picked her up in his arms, carrying her out of the bathroom and laying her down gently on the bed. He pulled the covers over her, his eyes full of concern. "Just rest now. I'll be right here."
Raghav gently laid her back on the bed, pulling the covers up to her chin. He sat beside her, his hand resting on top of hers, his thumb stroking the back of her hand. Her eyes, still heavy with the effects of the spiked drink, were fixed on his.
"Tum mujhe kabhi chhod ke nahi jaoge na?" she whispered, her voice fragile and small.
Raghav's heart ached at the vulnerability in her tone. He knew she wasn't just talking about tonight. He leaned in, his voice a soft, steady murmur.
"Nahi. Kabhi nahi." He sealed the promise with a gentle kiss to her forehead.
"Promise?" she asked, her eyes searching his.
"I promise. Now, close your eyes and get some rest," he said, his voice laced with a comforting authority. He watched as her eyelids fluttered, a soft smile gracing her lips before she finally drifted off to sleep, her hand still clutched in his. The quiet room was filled with a sense of peace and unspoken promises, a fragile bubble of safety in a world that had, for a few terrifying hours, been anything but.

The next morning, the first thing Vanshika felt was a pounding headache.
"Ahh!" a soft groan escaping her lips as she sat up. The room spun, and she would have fallen back onto the bed if a strong arm hadn't steadied her.
"Easy there," Raghav said softly, his hand a gentle presence on her back.
Vanshika's eyes, still a little hazy, met his. In a flash, a flood of fragmented memories from the night before came rushing back: the club, the music, the feeling of being dizzy, the sick, unsettling feeling. But the quiet, intimate conversations they'd had in the hotel room were a blank.
"What... what happened last night?" she asked, her voice raspy.
Raghav's gaze was soft, filled with a mix of concern and tenderness. "Someone spiked your drink," he said quietly.
Her eyes hardened instantly, and her hands clenched into fists. A surge of anger coursed through her, chasing away the last vestiges of her hangover. "Who?" she asked, her voice a low growl. "Who the hell did that?"
Raghav's jaw tightened. "I don't know for sure yet, but we are working on it. We'll find out."
Vanshika looked at him, her anger giving way to a sudden, overwhelming wave of emotion. "You... you stayed with me?" she whispered.
He nodded, his thumb gently stroking her arm. "Of course. I wasn't going to leave you alone." He moved a stray strand of hair from her face, his touch sending a shiver of warmth through her. "You're safe now, Vanshika. That's all that matters."
Raghav brought her a glass of water and a couple of pain relievers, which she gratefully accepted. They sat in a comfortable silence, the quiet of the hotel room a stark contrast to the chaos of the previous night. The morning sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating the dust motes dancing in the air.
"I need to get to the bottom of this," Vanshika said, her voice hard with resolve. "I'm not going to let whoever did this get away with it."
Raghav nodded, his expression mirroring her determination. "We will," he promised. "We are already on it. We'll find them."
As she finished the water, she looked at him, a flicker of a different emotion in her eyes. "Why did you stay, Raghav?" she asked, her voice soft. "You didn't have to."
He met her gaze, his own eyes holding a sincerity that took her breath away. "Vanshika," he said, his voice a low, steady murmur. "You're asking me that? You're not just some friend to me. I would never leave you to deal with something like that alone."
The words hung in the air between them, heavy with unspoken meaning. It was more than a friend, more than a fake relationship. It was a promise, a truth that had been simmering beneath the surface for a long time, finally bubbling over.
A soft smile touched her lips, and she reached out, her hand finding his.
"I know," she whispered, and for the first time since she woke up, the unsettling feeling of the night before finally began to fade.
Just as Vanshika and Raghav were sharing a moment, the door burst open. Ishana, Vihaan, and Navya rushed in, their faces etched with a mixture of relief and concern.
"Vanshika! Tu theek hai na?" Ishana exclaimed, running to her side.
"Hum kafi pareshan ho gaye the!" Navya added, her voice shaky.
Vihaan let out a sigh of relief. "Tu theek hai na??"
Vanshika gave them a reassuring nod. "Mai theek hu yaar pareshan mat ho."
Suddenly, Raghav's phone buzzed with a notification. He glanced at the screen, and a serious look crossed his face. He exchanged a knowing look with Abhiman, who had just entered the room, and Abhiman nodded.
"We'll be right back," Raghav said to the group before turning to Vanshika. "You just rest, Vanshika."
With that, he and Abhiman left the room, leaving the others in a state of confused silence.
Vanshika turned to Ishana, her expression hardening. "Pata laga kisne kiya hai."
"Ussi kaam mai hu" Ishana said, her voice filled with resolve.
"Mujhe lagta hai It's Ajay" Navya said, her eyes wide with suspicion.
"No," Vanshika said, shaking her head. "He wouldn't dare. He acts tough, but deep down, he's terrified of me."
Vihaan, who had been quietly observing Vanshika's determined expression, finally spoke up. "Vanshika, what are you going to do?"
Vanshika's eyes, filled with a cold, hard resolve, met his. "I'm going to find the person who did this, and I'm going to make them regret the day they were born."
Just then, Vanshika's phone lit up with a notification. She picked it up and saw it was a message from an unknown number. Her brow furrowed in confusion, but she clicked on it, a sense of unease settling in her stomach. As she read the message, her jaw tightened. The words were a venomous mix of obsession and threat:
"Stay away from him, butterfly, or the consequences won't be fine, cause you are mine only MINE!!"
